NDI Alumni Profile: Joselyn Mirabal ('86)

Joselyn Mirabal is a fusion of the arts.
As an alumni of NDI (National Dance Institute) she has choreographed/performed for NDI's Alumni Dance-A-Thon. In 2004 she was granted the opportunity to travel to Shanghai, China in an NDI Cultural Exchange, where she performed in Asia's largest theater, Shanghai's Grand Theatre.

Since her time with NDI, Marabal has performed in the Hip-Hop Theater Festival NYC, and Central Park Summer Stage as a B-Girl. She received formal training in hip-hop, breakin, modern, jazz and tap, and has appeared in music videos for Wu-Tang, Whitney Houston, Talib Kweli, Tito Nieves to name a few.

As a model she has worked with Enyce and Parasuco Jeans. In 2003 she starred in the short comedic film, "How Big Is It" directed by Inez Guillen screened at the NY Latino Film Festival. Besides film work she acted with Repertorio Español (Spanish Repertory Theater) in NYC and is also a recording artist.
