Arts Encounter
Movement & Music for Young Children
Classes for Pre-K to 1st Grade

Arts EncounterArts Encounter, NDI's unique early childhood program, was developed in the belief that all children are dancers and singers. Under the guidance of NDI Master Teaching Artists and musicians, children will explore creative movement, storytelling, and the joy and power of the arts.

 

Saturdays, January 14 - April 8
9:30 - 10:15am (Pre-K)
10:30 - 11:30am (K - 1st Grade)

 

Fee: $360 for 12-week Session

(plus $25 registration fee)

 

Must turn 4 by 12/31/16

NDI Dance
Classes for 2nd to 5th Grade

NDI DanceNDI Dance is a joyfully rigorous class that draws upon National Dance Institute's unique movement vocabulary, allowing students of every level to succeed as dancers and performers. Taught by NDI Master Teaching Artists and accompanied by live music, students will learn original choreography and perform for parents and peers.

 

Classes for 2nd and 3rd Graders (FULL)
Saturdays, 11:45am - 12:45pm
January 14 - April 8

 

Classes for 4th and 5th Graders
Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:00pm
January 10 - April 4

 

Fee: $300 for 12-week Session

Ballet

Recommended for 5th Grade and up

Arts EncounterTaught by Master Teaching Artist and former ballet dancer Emily Meisner, this class offers students the opportunity to improve their classical ballet skills while experiencing the energy and thrill of a typical NDI class.

 

Tuesdays, 4:00 - 5:00pm
January 10 - April 4

 

Fee: $240 for 12-week Session
(plus $25 registration fee)
Previous ballet experience required.

Modern Dance

Recommended for 5th Grade and up

Arts EncounterTaught by Master Teaching Artist and choreographer Bianca Johnson, this class is intended to supplement students' prior dance training, providing a foundation in modern dance technique and opportunities to learn the fundamentals of choreography.

 

Tuesdays, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
January 10 - April 4

 

Fee: $240 for 12-week Session
(plus $25 registration fee)
Previous dance experience required.
