More than 100 dancers, ages 8-15, from NDI’s advanced programs performed excerpts from the sold-out 2009 Event of the Year, Imagine: A Celebration of John Lennon, as well as pieces from NDI’s repertory of original choreography. The 2009-2010 curricular theme, Storytelling Around the World, was also introduced with the presentation of "A Tale from Egypt" choreographed by Christopher d'Amboise, and "We Real Cool" inspired by the Gwendolyn Brooks poem.
