The Teaching Artist Training program disseminates NDI’s teaching methodology to educators and artists around the world.
The Two-Week Intensive equips participants with foundational tools to become highly-skilled arts educators with a deepened understanding of the impact of dance on a students’s education.
Summer 2017 Two-Week Teaching Artist Training
Monday, July 31 – Friday, August 11, 2017 (excluding August 5th and 6th)

Fee: $1000 (Limited scholarships available)
NDI Teaching Artist Training is an intensive immersion in National Dance Institute’s renowned teaching techniques. Led by NDI’s Master Teaching Artists, the training takes place at the state-of-the-art NDI Center in Harlem. Participants work directly with New York City public school children, mastering the unique pedagogy that has been developed over NDI’s 40-year history. Each year, professional artists and educators from around the globe emerge from this transformative experience with an advanced set of teaching tools that equip them to motivate, engage, and inspire diverse learners to excellence through the power of the arts.
NDI Teaching Artist Training includes daily teaching opportunities, choreography workshops, stimulating group discussions, and presentations from leaders in education. This enriching two-week program culminates in a celebratory performance.

Successful completion of NDI Teaching Artist Training is a prerequisite for employment with National Dance Institute.
