Please join friends and family for a celebration honoring the 90th birthday of Jacques d’Amboise (1934-2021) as we explore his Hollywood days with footage and performances of the roles he made famous and the dancing he loved, including Carousel, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, excerpts from George Balanchine’s Stars & Stripes, Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free (which inspired the classic movie musical On the Town), and conversations about Jacques’ legacy as the first male American ballet star to light up the silver screen. All proceeds from this event will support the award-winning arts education programs of National Dance Institute.
The Jacques d’Amboise Center for Learning & the Arts is ADA accessible. Please let us know if you require accommodations with seating. This performance offers American Sign Language Interpretation.
