Sparked by the urgency of climate change and inspired by youth-led movements for climate justice, NDI’s 2024 Event of the Year, “Earth’s Song,” focuses on the living environment. Directed by NDI Teaching Artist Mary Kennedy, over 150 NDI dancers will perform original choreography that explores the beauty of the natural world and its inextricable connections to human life. “Earth’s Song” celebrates our beautiful planet through dance and music inspiring all to become stewards of the earth and to create a future based on compassion, community, and creative solutions.

NDI’s Event of the Year: Voices of Change

National Dance Institute’s 2019 Event of the Year, “Voices of Change,” will bring together over 200 talented children from New York City public schools in a vibrant performance of music and dance. Directed by Jennifer Aks-Neuman, “Voices of Change” will honor individuals and communities that have used their voices to effect positive change in the world. Featuring original choreography and live music, this event celebrates the power of artistic expression and activism—to uplift and inspire the voices of tomorrow.
